Tara joined the CVRTI in November 2019 as the Operations Director. She oversees CVRTI Core Staff, works with Investigators to ensure they have the resources needed to maintain outstanding scientific research programs, and defines institute strategic goals with the CVRTI Director.

She is also involved in CVRTI’s translational science program in which novel diagnostics and therapeutics for patients with failing hearts are being developed. Tara received her Bachelor of Science in Statistics from San Francisco State University and her Master of Public Health in Biostatistics from University of California, Los Angeles. Outside of work, Tara enjoys reading, puzzles, and spending time with her husband and son!
